The CDCP is a government program that helps eligible Canadians access essential dental care. It covers:

Partial & Complete Dentures
CDCP card holders qualify for a fully covered first visit at Your Hometown Dentist.

If you’re currently on Healthy Smiles, Ontario Works (OW), NIHB or ODSP, you can apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)!
The CDCP covers more comprehensive services not included in these programs, like major treatments and additional preventive care.

How and When to Apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Eligible Canadians can now apply based on their age group:
Group When you can apply
Aged 65 or older Now
Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate for 2023 Now
Children under the age of 18 Now
Aged between 55 to 64 years old May 1, 2025
Aged between 18 to 34 years old May 15, 2025
Aged between 35 to 54 years old May 29, 2025
